What You Will Be Doing:
Amogy is seeking a Manager of Maritime Business Development to join our Business Development team. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the candidate will apply their commercial experience to shape the future of Amogy.
- Identify, prioritize, and pursue commercial opportunities across the maritime sector in both domestic and international markets through networking, market research, and attending industry events
- Deliver presentations, build strong customer relationships, and develop strategic partnerships with leading players in the maritime sector
- Collaborate with strategy and engineering teams to respond to customer requests for technical, economic and performance information
- Own relationships and account management with key industry players
- Work closely with project management team to create solution packages and drive sales
- Leverage understanding of technology, markets, and decarbonization incentives to evaluate new business prospects
- Structure and negotiate partnership agreements
- Work collaboratively with the strategy, engineering, product development, and project management teams to understand the technology, and inform product development, and support technology deployments
Requirements
The minimum requirements we seek:
- 6-10 years of experience in business development, sales, consulting, or other client-facing roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment
- 4+ years experience in the maritime sector, preferably in hardware. Experience with energy systems, engines, or low-carbon fuels is an added advantage
- Demonstrated ability to convey complicated commercial and technical concepts in a comprehensible manner
- Commercialization skills including successful track-record of closing deals and building sales in new market or product spaces
- Strong track record of creating strategic plans, developing new business prospects, and converting them into commercial agreements and/or sales
- Entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit with high tolerance for ambiguity
- Ability to travel ~30% of time including conference attendance and visits to client sites.
- A bachelor’s degree
