What You’ll Be Doing:
Amogy is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our growing Manufacturing team in Houston. Reporting to our Manufacturing Engineer, this role will support the Manufacturing department through sustaining engineering activities. This will include the development, issue and control of the technical documentation and processes needed for operations and production.
- Liaison with R&D and Product Development to develop material and process specifications needed to define the characteristics of the products
- Implement quality standard procedures and standard work instructions
- Attend Engineering technical reviews and coordinate critical manufacturing as needed
- Maintain BOM structure and part descriptions to ensure it is consistent with the item master
- Interpret and apply product and process acceptance criteria
- Assist manufacturing in resolving technical issues that may arise during pilot manufacture
- Leverage lean ideologies to identify potential opportunities for continuous improvement of new product introduction
Requirements
The minimum requirements we seek:
- BA/BS degree candidate in Manufacturing Engineering or other discipline with relevant experience
- Ability to speak effectively with all levels of organization and customer representatives
- Experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and plant start-up
- Must be available part-time January - March 2024
- Previous experience in CAD, Jira, Microsoft Project, work processing software, ERP software (NetSuite)
The hourly pay range for this position is
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour. The salary pay range is applicable to positions physically based in
Houston. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, job experience and physical location.
