What You’ll Be Doing
Amogy is seeking New Product Introduction (NPI) Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of taking Amogy's innovative products from the design phase all the way to successful pilot-scale and full-scale manufacturing. As the primary manufacturing expert, you will collaborate closely with the design, engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing teams to ensure a seamless transition for Amogy's new products. By enhancing the manufacturability, quality, assembly, testing, and serviceability of our new products, you will help drive Amogy's success in the market.
- Act as primary technical liaison between product development, manufacturing, suppliers and operations, with a focus on manufacturing planning, supply chain management and quality assurance for new products.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders in engineering, manufacturing, procurement and operations to develop and implement a quality management system (QMS) consistent with the ISO9001 standards.
- Work-closely with cross-functional teams supporting every phase of manufacturing from low volume pilots to high volume product manufacturing.
- Engage in the design process to provide manufacturing engineering guidance on industry norms, component sourcing and selection process to ensure optimal quality, cost-effectiveness, and supplier reliability.
- Gather input from suppliers on current technologies, roadmaps and capabilities.
- Provide recommendations to design teams on equipment and instrumentation specifications and review vendor’s drawings and documentation.
- Collaborate across procurement, engineering, and supply chain teams to assess potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
- Partner with engineering and test teams to ensure that the selected equipment, instruments, procedures, and practices meet product and manufacturing verification and validation requirements.
Requirements
The minimum requirements we seek:
- BS/MS in manufacturing, industrial or mechanical engineering and 5-15 years of experience in manufacturing engineering and design.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, process equipment (reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.), instrumentation (pressure, temperature, concentration sensors, flow meters, transmitters, etc.), mechanical standards (API, ASTM, ASME, etc.), electrical (IEC60079, etc.), Safety (IEC61511, etc.), and design principles.
- Experience in deploying new or significantly modified production facilities and taking those to successful production launch.
- Expertise in executing within a robust ISO9001 quality management system.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing, interpreting, and providing feedback on engineering and vendor technical documents, schematics, and specifications.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, including mentorship, team collaboration, and the ability to lead multiple projects independently.
- SolidWorks/CATIA 3D modeling and drafting experience.
- Familiar with PLM software, 3DX Enovia preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of ASME Y14.5 drafting standards and inspection implementation for Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
