Brief Description
Amogy is an innovative cleantech startup on a mission to unlock ammonia's potential as a clean energy source. Driven by a vision of a more sustainable future, we've developed carbon-free energy solutions that leverage ammonia as an alternative fuel to decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors, including maritime shipping and stationary power generation. Join our dynamic team as we accelerate the commercialization of our technology and revolutionize the future of energy.
Amogy is seeking a Manufacturing Manager in Korea to support the build-out and execution of our manufacturing and fabrication operations for ammonia-based clean energy systems. This role requires a unique blend of technical depth, hands-on execution, and vendor management, with an emphasis on cross-functional collaboration between Amogy’s U.S. engineering teams and Korean partners.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage end-to-end fabrication activities in Korea, including coordination with key partners (e.g., SHI) and local vendors
- Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) efforts to translate U.S.-based designs into build-ready packages
- Oversee welding quality, inspection processes, and fabrication readiness in collaboration with QA/QC resources
- Serve as the day-to-day liaison for technical troubleshooting and execution issues with Korean vendors
- Oversee and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of modules prior to shipment
- Ensure alignment on quality, cost, and schedule across external builds while escalating risks to internal stakeholders
Requirements
The minimum requirements we seek:
- ~10+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in modular mechanical systems, industrial modules, or energy infrastructure
- Bilingual in Korean and English
- Direct experience managing vendors, contractors, or fabrication partners in Korea
- Hands-on familiarity with welding processes, mechanical assembly, inspection, and test readiness
- Strong grasp of DFM/DFA principles and ability to collaborate with global engineering teams
- Experience in high-complexity build environments, ideally involving fluid or chemical systems
What We’re Looking For
- A hands-on problem solver who thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines, high workload, and shifting priorities
- Excited to be part of a company that is defining new hardware categories and energy infrastructure
- Eager to operate across language and cultural barriers while keeping delivery on track
- Able to build trust with vendors, engineers, and technicians through execution, not just oversight
Summary
What We Offer:
- Competitive Medical, Dental & Vision Care
- FSA and HSA
- 401(k) with 5% company match
- Life insurance
- Flexible (PTO)
- Ancillary Benefits
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
