This position requires the operation of a Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) and the development of its software to perform dimensional inspection of parts and comparison to drawing requirements. This position also includes visual inspection and the use of precision dimensional inspection equipment including - but not limited to - calipers and micrometers.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

Inspect parts and assemblies using precision measuring instruments, including - but not limited to - a CMM to determine conformance to product specifications and specified aerospace standards
Interpret technical documents and develop a dimensional inspection plan - including a software program
Perform First Article Inspection per AS9102.
Complete required documentation of inspection results
Maintain inspection and measuring equipment, including - but not limited to - calibration of styli
Maintain a clean work environment, and comply with safety requirements
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Minimum Qualifications we are seeking:

High school graduate or equivalent
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and Engineering drawings
At least 1-year experience with dimensional inspection, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and the operation of a CMM
Experience using standard measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gage blocks, etc.
Proficient in the use of computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and/or other web-based software
Knowledge of Zeiss Calypso software
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently, but function as a team player

Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:

Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M, “Dimensioning and Tolerancing”
Working knowledge of CAD software including Catia or Onshape
Experience working in a manufacturing company with an ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality system
Knowledge of FAA regulations and aerospace conformity requirements
Experience using Zeiss Calypso software
Experience using ERP software such as Oracle or Plex
Experience using inspection software such as InspectionXpert or equivalent
Experience working with a manufacturing team to develop new processes

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment using OSHA-required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift a minimum of 10 pounds
