Beta is deploying an electric aircraft recharging network throughout the United States with simulator locations in Springfield, Ohio, and the Washington D.C area; Our eVTOL flight simulator has been deployed at these locations to provide training and familiarization services for our government customers.

This role will schedule and conduct eVTOL flight demonstrations, flight test, and training in our new, state-of-the-art simulation facilities. The expected customer will include senior officials from government and the military services. In addition, the lead SME will participate in the development of flight training syllabi and development of mission-focused training scenarios.

Essential Responsibilities

Experienced, effective communicator who exudes Beta’s passion for flight and desire to shape the future of aviation
Military flight instructor with extensive operational experience and an ability to understand and shape the role of electric flight in future military missions
Strong technical and instructional skills
Establish and maintain relationships with key strategic partners
Guiding preparation of marketing activity reports and presenting to executive leaders

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering or related technical field
Minimum of ten years related experience with progressive managerial responsibilities
Current or previous qualified Military Flight Instructor experience required
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with co-management, and internal and external customers
Initiative-taker that is well organized, disciplined, collaborator and well versed in the structural analysis
US military senior leadership and staff experience, simulation Instructor experience and flight test experience preferred
Google G -Suite including drive, mail, calendar, docs, sheets, slides, charts, hangouts; slack, application lifecycle
Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems
