Job Title: Plant Instrumentation/ Electrician TechnicianInfinium is a technology-based electrofuels innovator with a mission to decarbonize the transportation sector and help mitigate the catastrophic effects of climate change. Their groundbreaking Infinium Electrofuels™ are an ultra-low carbon fuel alternative to existing liquid jet and diesel fuels, and can be seamlessly used in planes, ships, and truck fleets with no costly infrastructure changes.We are seeking a highly motivated Plant Instrumentation/Electrician to join our team. The Plant I&E responsibilities include but are not limited to understanding and troubleshooting instrumentation, PLC, circuit breakers, limit switches, motor starters, electrical control circuit in a plant environment, provide technical expertise with the installation, maintenance, and service of instrumentation and electrical. The successful candidate will work closely with the Maintenance team and other members to support and maintain compliance with quality standards.
Specific Responsibilities
- Complies with all site health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Provides technical expertise for plant and project(s) support as well as direction and technical help to contractors.
- Maintains documentation of electrical projects (including drawings and data entry into the equipment database)
- Safely completes troubleshooting for electrical process-related equipment.
- Ensures equipment availability through best-in-class repairs and supports reliability improvements.
- Utilizes CMMS to order equipment/parts, track work progress, complete job confirmations, and update equipment history.
- Establishes new and continually improves existing preventative maintenance programs.
- Provides day to day equipment maintenance to ensure a safe and reliable operating plant, to meet or exceed mechanical integrity standards.
- Expert level technical skills with troubleshooting instrumentation and PLC equipment.
- Able to utilize technical skills to troubleshoot instrumentation, electronics, and electrical components.
- Provide field instrumentation support for all process equipment (pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-mechanical, electronic etc.)
- Able to do electrical equipment installations, calibrations, inspections, and troubleshooting tasks to minimize production impacts and enhance the reliability of the operation.
- Recognize malfunctions in individual equipment and perform maintenance as necessary to correct problems.
- Operate and perform activities in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures. (Federal, State, and local policies and procedures.
- Will lead all facility electrical, grounding, end device, commissioning including loop checks.
- Install wiring and conduit as needed.
Mandatory Qualifications
- PLC editing and troubleshooting experience.
- Calibration and troubleshooting experience with static pressure, differential pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
- A working knowledge of control circuits in PLC, Switches and Overload Relay
- Experience with 120V AC/DC controls
- Ability to use megger and multimeter.
- Understanding of the NFPA70 and 70E
- Knowledge and experience working with 600V / 4160V / 13.8 kV switchgear and associated systems.
- Knowledge and experience working with UPS/Battery and Emergency Generator systems.
- Knowledge and experience working with motors, motor controls, Variable Frequency Drives, and lighting infrastructure.
- Experience working with Electrical heat trace systems.
- Knowledge of PLC/electrical network design, software programming, and hardware implementation
- Ability to define problems and draw conclusions in challenging technical situations up to an including pulling drawings, utilizing electronic document systems, and consulting vendor manuals.
- Proficient in CMMS and Microsoft Office
- Ability to interpret and understand electrical drawings, schematics, PLC logic, and equipment manuals.
- Ability to diagnose and locate circuit, component, and equipment faults.
- Experience with motor starter/switch gear troubleshooting for A/C and D/C systems
- Accommodates overtime hours and provides call-out support within the assigned timeframe.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplined Operations, Engineering, Trades, and Planning teams.
- Work with minimal supervision, independently or in a team setting
- Familiarity with OSHA PSM Standards
- Must be willing to undergo Background check and driving record check.
- Must be willing and able to pass DOT drug screening / physical.
- A minimum of 5 years automation experience is required.
- A minimum of 5 years instrumentation experience is required.
- A minimum of 3 years industrial electrical experience is required.
- Associate degree or Certificate in Instrumentation Technology or Automation is preferred.
