The Project Engineer will collaborate and oversee the design, purchase and delivery of major process packages for Infinium Projects. You will report day to day to the Senior VP of Engineering and the Project Director and will work alongside a high functioning technical team of industry experts to mature critical project packages with world class vendors enabling the decarbonization of the transportation sector. You will solve issues, manage risks, and recommend solutions while working and building relationships with Infinium core suppliers.
You Will

- Oversee the design, procurement, and fabrication of critical process packages and equipment from third party suppliers and process licensors to meet the project objectives cost efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with other contactors, team members, and suppliers to manage the interrelationship of complex interfaces and work to appropriate level of definition for each stage.
- Support others in meeting deadlines for formulating cost estimates, execution plans, design basis, and schedules integrating packages into the overall project scope and deliverables.
- Develop and implement best practices, methods, and tools for project management and package equipment inspection.

You Have
- An accredited degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or the ability to demonstrate equivalence through experience and other education to successfully perform the role.
- Five to fifteen years of relevant experience performing in similar roles
- Working knowledge of pumps, compressors, piping, tanks, pressure vessels, distillation tower, reactors, valves, control systems, and other common equipment in the hydrogen, CO2 processing, fuels processing, and/or oil and gas industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles in or for large capital projects or management of multimillion dollar package equipment in either a direct order or EPF model
- A keen interest in learning, growing and implementing your learning into all aspects of your work
- The ability to work independently, but also communicate and involve others as needed
Your Working Environment
You are willing to work either in hybrid environment in Sacramento, Ca, [Overland Park, KS if you do not require relocation and are already present in the KC metro area] or are an experienced remote worker willing to travel when the job demands it. In all cases you will be expected to visit suppliers, vendors, and contractors when needed and travel to the established project site when needed or to oversee critical milestones.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate would be a package engineer or project engineer who has managed large (>$5-20M) complex packages for either an EPC, Owners Engineer, or Producer/Owners and is seeking more complex challenges that build on their experience or want to work in a more independent and dynamic project or company.
Other good candidates would be Project Managers who have overseen Production System or Refinery Projects involving complex processing equipment of hydrocarbons or someone who has been a Project Manager for developing skidded units at an EPF (Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication) shop that involves high temperature processing equipment.
