Our team is led by seasoned energy executives and world-renowned technical thought leaders. We are looking for a fantastic Data Engineer to work with our team in Columbus, OH. Denver based applicants may also be considered.
Ideal Candidate (Requirements):
- years of experience in datasets management, preferably in the oil and gas industry, health care field, or other sectors that compile databases from diverse data formats.
- minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).
- in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- understanding of database concepts and approaches such as SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.
- with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platform and familiarity with services such as Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Google Cloud Dataflow.
- analytical and problem-solving ability and high attention to detail.
- organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects.
- communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Ideal Candidate (Nice to haves):
- ArcGIS or other GIS software skills, including data analysis, mapping, presentation, and web-based applications (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise).
- with streaming data processing and real-time analytics platforms such as Apache Flink, Apache Kafka, or Apache Storm.
- with specialty software, including Enverus, Geolog, AIRES, or Quorum.
- of machine learning, AI concepts and frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch
- certifications such as AWS Certified Big Data Specialty or Google Professional Data Engineer.
Job Responsibilities:
- implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of data from diverse sources.
- Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to integrate data from various internal and external sources into centralized data repositories.
- and implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data.
- data pipeline performance and health, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure uninterrupted data flow and availability.
- with cross-functional teams including data scientists, geologists, land personnel, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering, evaluate and recommend new tools and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of data pipelines.
