Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.
Senior Software Engineer, Front End
Redwood Materials is looking for motivated and talented Software Engineers to help build core business applications. This is an opportunity to join during a critical growth phase and build green field software experiences and capabilities which will have a significant impact on the company’s day-to-day operations and ability to scale.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the full scope of implementing a project (design, program, test, deploy, and support applications).
- Prototype page designs and UI flow and gather input from stakeholders.
- Develop complex applications using modern frameworks and libraries.
- Help to design test suites and testing infrastructure for front-end applications.
- Write clean, maintainable code with an eye to how applications grow.
- Partner with cross functional teams to discover business needs and drive requirements for custom software solutions.
Desired qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience developing web applications using modern frameworks and component libraries.
- Experience with React/Vue and Typescript preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage production workloads, testing, and deployment.
- Knowledge of the latest web standards (HTML5, CSS3) and web performance strategies a plus.
- Strong web design skills and attention to user experience fundamentals.

The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
