Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.
Civil Engineer, EPC
Redwood Materials is currently recruiting Civil Engineers to join our Infrastructure Development team. These roles are at the center of our activities focused on creating a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries by transforming recycled materials into battery materials for new lithium-ion battery production.
Responsibilities will include:
- Manage multiple projects throughout planning, design, bid, and construction phases
- Independently develop high quality civil engineering products including construction document
drawings, specifications, narratives, and calculations - Effectively and proactively communicate project needs, changes, and status to internal and
external team members - Review drawings and proposals by vendors, engineers, and architects, and drive multi-disciplinary
coordination - Manage external civil engineering consultants and guide consultant designs through project
completion.
Desired Qualifications:
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) Or in process of obtaining PE
- 5+ yrs of hands-on experience designing and building high-tech/industrial infrastructure and
operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, manufacturing, etc.) - Experience in civil engineering design, storm water management plans (flood control and storm
water quality), storm water pollution prevention plans (SWPPP), heavy civil, wastewater, and
manufacturing operational construction - Site development background with experience in design of roadway, grading, pavements,
sanitary sewer, storm drainage, domestic & fire water main systems, erosion and sediment
control, and traffic plans - Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, as well as hydrology/storm water management
software for civil design
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
