Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.
Information Technology (IT) Intern - Summer 2024
We are seeking a self-directed and motivated Information Technology (IT) Intern with a passion for learning, creative problem solving, and collaboration in a fast growing, dynamic environment. This role will contribute to everyday support as well as supporting new operations & initiatives to streamline our services.
Responsibilities may include:
- Desktop support – laptop management, domain accounts, software support, printers, etc.
- Make direct impact and assist in managing back-end infrastructure of various systems.
- Support users at multiple facilities and at remote locations.
- Develop & implement ideas to improve IT and infrastructure solutions and initiatives, response times and efficiency.
- Manufacturing support – SCADA touchscreens, process cameras, label printers, barcode scanners.
- Perform setup and maintenance of IT Infrastructure.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for technology platform and provide recommendations for current and future system.
- Opportunity to expand experience into areas of interest.
Desired Qualifications
- Majoring in CS, IS, or related fields.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, MacOS, Linux, and Office 365 suite.
- Ability to work well in teams and alone.
- Excellent verbal & written communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent customer service, attitude, and self-motivation.
- A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!
The position is full-time for the summer of 2024 in the Reno, Nevada area.
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
