Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.
Power Electronics Engineer Intern - Summer 2024
In this role you will work with the hardware, embedded systems, and test teams at Redwood to develop advanced solutions for a wide range of applications, requiring a high degree of precision and control. The work will consist of electronic circuit bring-up, testing, and characterization. It will also involve troubleshooting and documentation.
Responsibilities will include:
- Help design, build, and commission custom machines and automated equipment for deployment at our battery materials manufacturing campus.
- Electronic circuit bring-up, testing, and characterization.
- Troubleshooting and documentation.
Desired Qualifications
- Student in MSEE or PhD EE program.
- Coursework and/or research experience in power electronics.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to execute with a calm and collaborative urgency.
- A passion for sustainability and making the world a better place!
The position is full-time for the summer of 2024 in the Reno, Nevada area.
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
