About Redwood Materials
Redwood Materials was founded in 2017 to create a circular supply chain for electric vehicles and clean energy products, making them more sustainable and driving down the cost for batteries. We’re doing this by developing and deploying new technologies to increase the scope and scale of recycled and sustainable materials in the global battery supply chain.
Essential Duties:
The Material Flow Supervisor is a leadership role in the Material Flow team at Redwood Materials. This person will coordinate the efficient movement of materials to support production, coordinate the receipt of raw materials, and/or prepare shipment of finished goods. The Material Flow Supervisor will build a team of Material Flow Specialists, and mentor them for professional growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of associates to ensure shipping and receiving requirements are achieved.
- Responsible for safety compliance and training, especially as it pertains to material handling equipment.
- Manage the internal flow of materials to support production requirements.
- Receive inbound shipments from suppliers of raw materials, maintenance parts, engineering equipment, or factories
- Ensure inventory accuracy, material availability, and material replenishment.
- Develop and implement material flow strategies to improve operational efficiency.
- Manage data and transactions within a Warehouse Management System and create reports to support management decision making.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience in warehousing and material flow
- Experience storing and transporting dangerous goods

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
Working Conditions:
- May work in warehouse environments without temperature control or in the outdoors.
- May encounter hazardous materials, loud noise, or excess heat/cold.
- Expected to spend around 70% of shift on the warehouse floor which may include standing, stooping, or walking.
- Expected to be available to work any shift according to business needs.
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
