Role Summary
The Service Center Launch Assistant Manager will be responsible for support and of initiatives to bring Rivian Service Centers to market from early planning stages through the final launch. As a New Center Launch Assistant Manager, you will travel throughout North America, upstarting new Service Centers on a rotation during a massive growth phase. In addition, you will support service centers in leadership roles as needed. This role will require high levels of energy and initiative, deep understanding of service processes, go-getter attitude, great leadership skills and cross-team collaboration. To be successful in this role, you must thrive in ambiguous and unexpected environments, tackling all challenges with a creative and flexible mindset. Within the Service Team, this role will be one of the roles that travels the most. The love and flexibility to travel and mentor are a must.
Responsibilities

- \nBuild plan, maintain timelines, and provide onsite leadership for launch of new service facilities \n
- \nLead and manage all local operations on the ground in various locations \n
- \nWork in partnership with cross functional teams regularly on implementing and continuously improving field service operations \n
- \nTrain and manage processes for new service centers \n
- \nTrain new leaders in the field service organization \n
- \nManage and coach to operational execution and excellence across our Service network \n
- \nBuild, maintain, and communicate detailed reporting \n
- \nAssist and support all aspects of the service organization \n
- \nIdentify roadblocks in service centers and work with cross functional partners to solve \n
- \nEnsure that appropriate communications take place throughout the locations \n
- \nResponsible for ensuring establishment of safe service business practices and processes \n
- \nCollaborate with Service Managers to improve processes and maximize field productivity \n
- \nBuild and develop a high-impact team of customer-facing professionals (technicians, and service advisors), capable of supporting National service centers in a fast-paced and dynamic environment \n
- \nLead and manage the launch and field team with a hands-on mindset and servant leadership \n
- \nBuild and contribute to a Rivian culture that is inclusive, and maintains high levels of team morale \n
Qualifications

- \nDemonstrated high-level administrative experience, including advanced computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications \n
- \nExperience in leading teams in an automotive or high-tech environment \n
- \nProven success in driving service requirements in a complex environment \n
- \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills \n
- \nExcellent planning and organizational skills with attention to detail \n
- \nDemonstrated ability to perform duties with a high level of professionalism, flexibility, discretion, judgment, diplomacy, and tact \n
- \nAbility to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines \n
- \nBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience \n
- \nAbility to travel as needed (up to 80% or extended assignments) \n
- \nMust possess a valid driver’s license \n
- \nExperience in automotive equipment and servicing methods \n
- \nMust be at least 21 years of age \n
- \nNo drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years \n
- \nNo more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years \n
- \nWill be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring \n
- \nPhysical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting or standing for up to 8 or more hours a day, walking, bending, kneeling, laying, twisting, carrying, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs). \n
- \nFrequent use of hands for purposes of grasping and using tools correctly, entering data, writing communications, or calling customers or internal partners \n
- \nStrong understanding of written and spoken English \n
- \nAbility to see, read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions or schematics. \n
- \nMust be available for a regular schedule of 40 hours a week, including weekends and holidays, according to business need. Shifts may include evening, overnight, or early morning hours \n
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range: $102,000 - $118,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law).
\nBenefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
