Role Summary
- \n
- Develop multi-tiered test suites that ensure safe and correct operation of Rivian vehicle software \n
- Design and develop test frameworks and systems leveraging automation to aid both engineering development and manufacturing \n
- Work closely with firmware developers to diagnose issues and perform root cause analysis \n
- Produce and review detailed test reports from daily test suite execution linked against a product requirements tracking system \n
- Gather data from communication systems commonly used in embedded systems like CAN and Ethernet as well as from vehicle telemetry stored in the cloud \n
Responsibilities
- \n
- Python programming and debugging experience for test automation and data processing \n
- Strong communication, multitasking, and interpersonal skills both in presentation and technical writing \n
- Experience in firmware integration, vehicle-level testing, and debugging \n
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver technical projects \n
- Ability to plan and coordinate test assets and travel with an execution plan that fully utilizes the assets to test and characterize software functionality \n
Qualifications
- \n
- Bachelor of science in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or software engineering \n
- Ability to read schematics and datasheets and translate them into system level requirements \n
- Working experience with automated requirements management tools and issue tracking tools \n
- Experience bringing up new systems for both prototypes and in manufacturing environments \n
- Familiar with fundamentals of heat-transfer and thermodynamics, devices like pumps, radiators, refrigerant systems \n
- Experience in testing and calibrating thermal management features for cabin HVAC, and heat pump, to deliver the best customer-experience in terms of performance, range, NVH, and cabin comfort \n
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $130,000 - $150,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
\nBenefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
