Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT System Engineer to join our team with atleast 5 years of experience. As an On-Prem IT System Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our on-premises IT infrastructure. You will work with a wide range of technologies, including VMWare Cloud Foundation, VxRail, Pure Storage, Rubrik backup, Linux and Windows operating systems, Active Directory, scripting languages like Python and PowerShell, as well as automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible. The ideal candidate should possess excellent technical skills, be collaborative, tech-savvy, self-learning, and have strong communication skills.
Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises IT infrastructure components, including VMWare Cloud Foundation and VxRail, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. \n
- Manage and administer storage systems, specifically Pure Storage, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity. \n
- Implement and maintain Rubrik backup solutions to ensure data protection and disaster recovery readiness. \n
- Configure and manage Linux and Windows operating systems, ensuring security, stability, and efficiency. \n
- Administer and support Active Directory services, including user management, group policies, and access control. \n
- Manage and Maintain Desktop Virtualization \n
- Develop and maintain scripts using Python and PowerShell to automate routine tasks and streamline operational processes. \n
- Utilize automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible to deploy and manage infrastructure resources efficiently. \n
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions. \n
- Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations. \n
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the IT infrastructure. \n
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and reference purposes. \n
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders, including end-users and IT teams. \n
Qualifications
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). \n
- VMWare Data Center Virtualization certification \n
- VMWare Cloud Foundation Certification is good to have \n
- Microsoft Windows Server Certification \n
- Any Linux Certification \n
- Strong knowledge and experience with VMWare Cloud Foundation and VxRail for designing and managing virtualized infrastructure. \n
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Pure Storage or similar storage systems. \n
- Familiarity with Rubrik backup solutions or similar data protection technologies. \n
- In-depth understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems, including administration and troubleshooting. \n
- Experience working on VMWare Horizon Desktop Virtualization stack \n
- Solid knowledge of Active Directory, including user management, group policies, and access control. \n
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell for automation and task scripting. \n
- Working knowledge of automation tools like Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure provisioning and configuration management. \n
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve system issues. \n
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. \n
- Self-motivated and proactive approach to learning new technologies and staying up to date with industry advancements. \n
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. \n
