    Role Summary

    Rivian Charging Cloud is truly a full stack team of developers working on cutting edge technologies. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and help with hiring more team members in Serbia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems along with leading the technical direction of the team and hiring a team under you. This position is also open for management in the future.


    Responsibilities

      \n
    • Design, architect, and implement robust and scalable backend systems for cloud applications, focusing on performance, security, and maintainability.
      • \n
    • Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless components to facilitate seamless communication between various application layers.
      • \n
    • Collaborate with front-end engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end features and solutions.
      • \n
    • Optimize and fine-tune backend services to meet performance benchmarks, and identify areas for improvement.
      • \n
    • Implement security measures, authentication, and authorization protocols to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
      • \n
    • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, best practices, and adherence to coding standards.
      • \n
    • Lead technical discussions and provide mentorship to junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and insights to elevate the team's capabilities.
      • \n
    • Stay updated on emerging trends and advancements in cloud technologies and backend development, and apply them to enhance our products.
      • \n

    Qualifications

      \n
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
      • \n
    • 8+ years of professional experience in backend or full stack software development .
      • \n
    • Proven experience as a backend software engineer, with a strong focus on cloud-based solutions.
      • \n
    • Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages like Java or Python.
      • \n
    • Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure including services Kafka, Notification and memory caches
      • \n
    • Experience with designing and building scalable and distributed systems.
      • \n
    • Proficiency in database design and optimization (SQL, NoSQL).
      • \n
    • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
      • \n
    • Experience with version control systems (Git) and
      • \n
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
      • \n
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
      • \n
    \n
    Preferred:
    \n
      \n
    • AWS Cloud Certification.
      • \n
    • Java 8, Spring, ReactJS, HTML
      • \n
    • Previous experience in a senior or lead software engineering role.
      • \n
    • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
      • \n
    • Knowledge of micro-services architecture and related technologies.
      • \n
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD.
      • \n
    • Contributions to open-source projects or technical publications.

    Role Summary

    Rivian Charging Cloud is truly a full stack team of developers working on cutting edge technologies. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and help with hiring more team members in Serbia. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems along with leading the technical direction of the team and hiring a team under you. This position is also open for management in the future.


    Responsibilities

    • Design, architect, and implement robust and scalable backend systems for cloud applications, focusing on performance, security, and maintainability.
    • Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless components to facilitate seamless communication between various application layers.
    • Collaborate with front-end engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end features and solutions.
    • Optimize and fine-tune backend services to meet performance benchmarks, and identify areas for improvement.
