Role Summary
Rivian is looking for an experienced and strategic-minded Senior Program Manager to lead our MRO Factory Machinery Spare Parts purchasing program. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of MRO Spare Parts procurement, vendor management, and inventory optimization. This role will require a results-driven individual capable of driving cost savings, supplier performance, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities

- MRO Spare Parts Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive spare parts procurement strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals. Continuously monitor market trends and supplier capabilities to ensure a competitive advantage. \n
- Vendor Management: Identify, assess, and manage relationships with key spare parts suppliers. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to optimize cost savings while maintaining quality and reliability. \n
- Inventory Optimization: Lead efforts to optimize spare part inventory levels, reducing excess stock and ensuring critical spare parts availability. Implement efficient inventory management practices. \n
- Cost Savings Initiatives: Drive cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation, value analysis, and process improvements. Identify opportunities for standardization and consolidation. \n
- Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality control processes for MRO spare parts products and services. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. \n
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments such as operations, maintenance, and finance to align spare parts procurement strategies with operational needs and financial objectives. Additionally drive demand planning and forecasting in support of the various production shops in all manufacturing locations \n
- Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the spare parts purchasing program. Regularly report on performance and recommend improvements. Additionally develop customized tracking dashboards to be reported out to business stakeholders and executive leadership on a regular basis. \n
- TCO Analysis: Continually analyze total cost of ownership criteria when procuring new spare parts. Collaborate cross-functionally with capex team on integrator selection to optimize spare parts requirements and manufacturers. \n
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in the spare parts supply chain, including supply disruptions, price fluctuations, and supplier reliability issues. \n
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the MRO purchasing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. \n
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). \n
- Proven experience 5+years in MRO procurement, vendor management, and supply chain leadership. \n
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills. \n
- In-depth knowledge of industrial machinery spare parts products, suppliers, and market trends. \n
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. \n
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools – SAP and Tableau preferred \n
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus. \n
