Role Summary
The Data Visualization Analyst is a role where hands on experience designing, building, and deploying data visualization solutions on platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, PowerPoint, and others are required. This role will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Operations and Strategic Management (OSM) located on site in Normal, IL. A successful candidate has a passion for working with our team to understand their needs, visual storytelling, and aggregating disparate data from multiple platforms to convey new business insights. This position brings and maintains in-depth knowledge on visual design and data modeling best practices within visualization tools, performance tuning, and deployment strategies, as well as how to leverage the wide range of data analytics solutions. Responsibilities

- Be the primary point of contact for the Planning Excellence organization’s leadership to understand their data visualization needs and take a user-centered approach to developing and handing off data visualizations. \n
- Fielding questions and escalating issues as necessary. \n
- Be comfortable with initial ambiguity in requirements gathering and offer solutions. \n
- Help prepare for and attend business review meetings with the teams and stakeholders. \n
- Transform datasets and quantitative analysis into compelling visuals for team leadership. \n
- Develop and maintain dashboards and standard reports. \n
- Ad-hoc reporting as required. \n
- Design, create, analyze, and maintain low-to-high complexity data visualizations, reports, and dashboards (using tools such as Tableau, and Excel) to help decision makers answer questions. \n
- Manage requirements gathering sessions and the process, including creating documentation and tracking progress in shared collaboration tools (e.g., Asana) \n
- Establish, communicate, and manage best practices for data visualization. \n
- Create and deliver end-user training and documentation on deliverables. \n
Qualifications
- \n
- 2 - 4+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting. \n
- Technical working knowledge of Tableau and Power BI or similar. \n
- Strong communication skills, both verbal, written, and exemplary organizational skills. \n
- Experience with supporting dashboard design and development \n
- Project management and client relationship management skills \n
- 2+ years of experience with multiple data visualization tools, including Tableau, Excel, Python, and Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint. \n
- 1+ years of experience with Excel VBA, Power Query, or SQL \n
- Knowledge of delivering reporting objects in visualization tools \n
- Knowledge of data wrangling, from data discovery to cleaning, structuring, and validating \n
- Ability to interpret technical findings and processes integrating with data from Data Warehouse \n
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence and/or other project management and documentation tools \n
- Working or practical knowledge of automotive manufacturing, global supply chain and logistics \n
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices in performance tuning and user-centric design \n
- Ability to work with a high degree of professionalism, autonomy with a professional presence \n
- Ability to successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously while working independently \n
- Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the company \n
- Must be willing to sit on site in Normal, IL. \n
