As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.
Role Summary
This role fulfills restraint system modeling and optimization requirements for MSP platform. This will include assessments of interior surface proposals by studio, dial in safety requirements for interior safety, work with body structures and safety structures team on structural design strategies and its implications on vehicle pulse and occupant loading criteria (OLC) and work with restraints SMEs and DREs to tune restraints and dial in performance. This role will be highly collaborative in nature with this role cross functionally working across product development towards occupant systems integration. During MSP program, this role will be required to be present frequently onsite at restraints suppliers in Metro Detroit, for design reviews, design/validation discussions, sled/static testing, sled validations and crash testing in Buffalo NY. This role will confirm and validate Safety restraints strategies numerically and propose path forward for restraints safety system integration.
