Role Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for design and development of Rivian's Body Side Closures which meet all the vehicle level requirements in line with program targets!
Responsibilities

- Lead component design to meet cost, weight, attributer performance, appearance, legal and market requirements. \n
- Lead design engineering to ensure manufacturability without compromising product function or performance. \n
- Responsible to system engineering sign off through VP builds, DV testing and Product Launch. \n
- Work with core team to root cause, design, and launch fixes. \n
- Develop and report product quality matrices. Develop roadmaps for improving product quality and grow production capacity in line with corporate goals. \n
- Working with cross functional team on sourcing and part development, Issue statement of work for sourcing and track the part quality through DV build to PSW. \n
Qualifications
- \n
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. \n
- 1+ years of experience in an engineering role related to Body Closures in Product Development \n
- Ability to work on problems of moderate scope, exercise judgement with defined procedure. \n
- Capable of working as a member of a team across several cross functional disciplines, including with external stakeholders. \n
- Knowledge of Product development process, FMEA, DEA, CAD, CAE, 8D and Tool developments \n
- APQP experience and Ability to read and understand CMM & Quality reports \n
- Experience with Catia V5/V6 and GD&T knowledg \n
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range for California-Based Applicants: $96,000 - $111,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, and other factors permitted by law).
