Role Summary
You will have the opportunity to lead the technical development of the main ADAS compute platform for Rivian’s next generation vehicles. In this exciting role, you will work with highly motivated and capable engineers to deliver an amazing product to our customers.
Responsibilities
- \n
- Electrical design of inhouse Rivian ADAS compute modules \n
- Product definition and optimization studies \n
- Requirement definition to tier 1 suppliers of Rivian ADAS electronics \n
- Lead critical design efforts such as PCB constraint definition, floor planning, and mechanical/thermal integration \n
- Plan and execute hardware bring-up \n
- Perform bench level characterization and support design validation \n
- Communicate and align priorities with cross functional teams (software, test automation, validation, mechanical, and reliability) \n
- Provide design documentation and guidance to the contract manufacturer and product launch teams to ensure best in class quality \n
- Lead failure investigations during development and production \n
- Provide technical guidance and participate in the integration of your product within the vehicle \n
Qualifications
- \n
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related fields) with 10 years experience or Master’s degree with 6 years experience \n
- Previous experience as the design responsible engineer for a scaled electronics product \n
- Excellent communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences \n
- Strong EE fundamentals \n
- Familiarity with SoC architecture \n
- Proficiency with schematic capture and design layout tools \n
- Lab proficiency – hands-on knowledge of equipment and best practices \n
- Understanding of ISO26262 processes preferred \n
- Experience in Python and/or C scripting (primarily to support HW bring up and test) preferred \n
- Simulation of electronics using Ansys, spice, Matlab, etc preferred \n
- Electrical characterization of high speed serdes preferred \n
Pay Disclosure
- \n
- \nSalary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $184,000 - $211,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law). \n
- \nBenefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums. \n
