Role Summary
In this position, you will be responsible for developing test vehicle build and retrofit plans for prototype and validation vehicles. A qualified candidate will need a high level, cross-functional view of the vehicle development process and how hardware, electrical, and software interact. The goal is to work with all parties to determine the most efficient path for vehicle build and retrofit that allows the fastest development time.
Responsibilities

- \nTest Vehicle Builds (DCAR)
- \n
- Interface with program and TPM teams to determine content levels for all vehicle builds. \n
- Develop and maintain plans for build readiness based on content. \n
- Highlight risk in build readiness and drive solutions across all teams. \n
- Develop commissioning task lists to ensure test vehicles are fit to purpose. \n
\n - \nTest Vehicle Retrofits (VRETRO)
- \n
- Determine optimal plan for keeping test vehicle fleet relevant for both development and validation activities. \n
- Manage and update plan in current toolsets. \n
\n - Report out current planning and execution status at program meetings. \n
- Leads planning for drive events including logistics, scheduling, and event execution. \n
- Performs other duties as required or assigned within the scope of the position. \n
- Technical Integration at all levels – act as the glue between the teams to ensure there is cross collaboration, tradeoffs being made across the teams, and issues escalated. \n
Qualifications
- \n
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering: Mechanical, Aerospace, Software, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar field. \n
- Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals and first principles. \n
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, general schematics, and interact with CAD software. \n
- Familiarity with Systems Integration: ECU network architecture, EV powertrains, and supporting systems. \n
- Experience with issue tracking and documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence. \n
- A track record of successfully delivering large scale, complex, cross-functional and capital-intensive projects. Experience is preferred within automotive domain or to have demonstrated outstanding skills from an adjacent and relevant industry. \n

- An ability to challenge existing assumptions, concepts, and beliefs to develop new methods. \n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence, inspire and build a culture that comes together to over deliver. \n
- Understanding of engineering theory, manufacturing techniques and principles of operation of mechanical/electrical systems from both a hardware and software perspective. \n
