Role Summary
You will be responsible for the development and delivery execution of electronics technology components primarily focused on Connectivity. The Technical Program Manager role requires high levels of initiative, independent judgement, and leadership capability. You will be the voice of the Rivian Electrical Hardware team among the larger cross-functional organization as well as the champion of vehicle program and cross-functional interests when working within the Electrical Hardware team throughout the product development stages.

You will be responsible for driving the Design, Development, Release, and Validation for different Rivian Electronics. You will maintain and ensure awareness of overall program deliverables and report on status and risks to ensure appropriate visibility among teams.
Responsibilities

- \nLead and drive the development and integration of electronics via design reviews, ensuring all pre-production builds are supported to effectively launch the vehicle. \n \n
- \nResponsible for driving custom module developments with in-house PCBA designs and mechanical assemblies \n \n
- \nWork closely with the Electronics Design team to create engineering and delivery schedules, closely track engineering progress, and deliveries against overall vehicle deliverable schedules. \n \n
- \nIdentify programmatic risks and work to mitigate and reduce exposure, championing and raising issues and removing roadblocks to hit timing. \n \n
- \nWork with the vehicle line, software, electrical and other teams to identify, come together, and drive critical path and ensure synchronized deliveries. \n \n
- \nCoordinate with Suppliers and Supply chain to ensure timely delivery of components and assemblies for prototype builds. \n \n
- \nCoordinate with Vehicle integration and Electrical Systems to ensure delivery and successful integration of electronic assemblies \n \n
- \nPush and support the release of all engineering documentation to support PLM. \n \n
- \nSupport Purchasing efforts as needed to ensure timely deliveries. \n \n
- \nBe able to plan budget for the project and maintain forecast, maintaining risk registers \n \n
Qualifications
- \n
- \n6+ years of experience on a program team or equivalent experience \n \n
- \nBS+ in Engineering or similar technical degree required \n \n
- \nDetailed knowledge of electronics design, development, validation, and integration process \n \n
- \nExperience working with RF technology devices, plus if experience with RF certification and industry compliance processes \n \n
- \nDemonstrated experience in addressing and solving complex issues \n \n
- \nHas worked on custom in-house designs and products from development builds through production \n \n
- \nStrong communication experience with Executive Staff \n \n
- \nAbility to work and communicate with cross functional teams \n \n
- \n
- \nProven experience tracking and driving the progress of multiple projects \n \n
- \nStrong team player; drive to exceed expectations and meet deadlines \n \n
- \nAbility to manage ambiguity and create clarity; oversee multiple projects and make them better \n \n
- \nExcellent written and verbal skills \n \n
- \nHigh level analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex. \n \n
- \nTravel as needed to support builds. \n \n
Pay Disclosure
Salary range for California based applicants: $$184,000 - $211,000 (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location and other factors permitted by law).
Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
