Role Summary
Internship Term:

Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between December 2024 through June 2026.

Responsibilities
- \n
- Work closely with Engineering colleagues, Industrial Designers, and product management to create new-to-the-world products across the Adventure Products category. \n
- Solve problems for our consumers through conceptualization, iteration and refinement. \n
- Create concept sketches, mechanical designs, physical prototypes, and presentation materials to effectively communicate ideas to teammates. \n
- Participate in activities to define and optimize products for a variety of attributes
- Exercise engineering rigor to analyze designs for function, feasibility and/or manufacturability \n
Qualifications
- \n
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelors, masters, or PhD degree at an accredited university \n
- Actively pursuing a degree or one closely related in Mechanical Design \n
- \n
- A passion for human-centered product design, and a strong desire to engineer consumer products for the Adventure Products category. \n
- Experience with various prototyping and hand-fabrication methods \n
- A desire to solve difficult problems and create the best product for Rivian’s customers \n
- CAD experience (any software) \n

Pay Disclosure
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Internships: The range of pay for internships is 25.00-51.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, and other factors permitted by law.
\n\n
Rivian provides robust wellness benefits, and a medical insurance package for interns, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
