Role Summary
As a Vehicle Detailer, you will be responsible for cleaning vehicles according to Rivian’s high standards. This role will require high levels of energy, initiative, independent judgement and cross-functional team collaboration. Must be able to complete tasks in a compressed timeline.
Responsibilities

- \nFollow and promote Rivian's high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization in all work areas \n \n
- \nPerform Pre-Delivery and post service detail inspections ensuring optimal quality control \n \n
- \nClean vehicle interiors and exteriors in compliance with standard operating procedures and through use of various chemicals and products \n \n
- \nAbility to use special purpose cleaners or clay bars to remove foreign materials which do not respond to normal cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following product manufacturer recommendations \n \n
- \nApply compounds, polishes, waxes, and sealants to auto body and wipe or buff surfaces by hand or machine \n \n
- \nAbility to Color/Wet sand exterior surfaces and perform surface paint corrections as needed \n \n
- \nAbility to perform paint touch-up service on exterior body surfaces \n \n
- \nTrack services performed, charge levels and overall condition of the vehicle \n \n
- \nMaintain inventory and re-ordering of materials and supplies \n \n
- \nMove and park vehicles, as well as deliver vehicles to correct locations \n \n
- \nUse proper personal protective equipment when using products in accordance to safety data sheets and company standards \n \n
- \nOperate all buffers, polishers, pressure washers, vacuums, and other equipment in an efficient and safe manner \n \n
- \nAbility to train colleagues and cross-functional team members in detail and car wash processes and procedures \n \n
- \nWork in and maintain a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams \n \n
- \nAbility to perform above mentioned tasks in a mobile environment, away from service center \n \n
- \nOther duties assigned by management \n \n
Qualifications
- \n
- \nPrior detail or car wash experience preferred \n \n
- \nMinimum age of 21 and be authorized to work in the U.S \n \n
- \nHigh School diploma preferred or equivalent work experience \n \n
- \nWillingness to learn and perform a wide range of allocated tasks \n \n
- \nExcellent manual dexterity skills as well as patience to deal with high stress and high-volume situations \n \n
- \nAttention to detail with excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills \n \n
- \nMust be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and possible holidays \n \n
- \nDriven and self-motivated individual, with ability to work with little or no supervision \n \n
- \nNo drug or alcohol related driving incidents in the last 3 years \n \n
- \nNo more than 1 serious moving violation in the last 3 years \n \n
- \nMust have a valid driver's license in the state of residence that you will be driving/operating a vehicle \n \n
- \nNo driving related suspensions or revocation of Driver License (within a 3-5year period) \n \n
- \nWill be subject to continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring \n \n
- \nPhysical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting up to 2 or more hours at a time, standing for up to 8 or more hours a day, walking, bending, kneeling, laying, twisting, carrying, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs). \n \n
- \nMust be able stand or walk for extended hours \n \n
- \nMust be able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds \n \n
- \nFrequent use of hands for purposes of grasping and using tools correctly, entering data, writing communications, or calling customers or internal partners \n \n
- \nAbility to read and speak fluent English \n \n
- \nAbility to see, read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions or schematics \n \n
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $26.90 to $30.75 per hour (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permited by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
