Role Summary
Rivian’s Network Operation Center is responsible for remotely maintaining Rivian’s charging network. We are looking for a Network Operations Center Engineer who will work cross-functionally to scale the NOC’s capabilities while executing day-to-day responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- \n
- Support network operations of Rivian’s charging deployments \n
- Proactively monitor all charging assets for any issues; offline, faults, irregular sessions \n
- Assist in commissioning new assets; configuring asset properties via Linux and other applications \n
- Maintaining new and existing site infrastructure with Rivian's asset management platform \n
- Work cross-functionally to help enhance existing applications \n
- Assist in pilot testing new firmware deployments for both AC and DC assets \n
- Provide excellent customer service by rapidly responding to incoming calls and emails for B2B client and service partners \n
- Use keen attention to detail to document issues in case management platform \n
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, including rotating weekend on-call coverage \n
Qualifications
- \n
- Bachelors in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline \n
- 1+ year(s) of related experience \n
- Experience using case/work order management tools (e.g., Salesforce, ZenDesk, ServiceNow, etc.) \n
- Understanding of charging standards and protocols: OCPP, ISO 15118, J1772, CCS, NACS, etc. \n
- Understanding of dispenser state and state transitions \n
- Familiar with Linux \n
- Excellent written and oral communication skills \n
- Team player mentality, with a willingness to assist and team others on the team \n
- Proven track record of successful problem-solving skills with a strong sense of ownership and urgency \n
- Required to communicate using telephone, email, and other digital means of communication \n
- Ability to view, read, and interpret documents including operating and maintenance instructions, safety guidelines, etc. \n
- Ability to sit or stand for approximately 8+ hours per day \n
- Commitment to 5% travel \n
Pay Disclosure
Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $40.85 to $47.10 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
