Role Summary
The Senior Business Analyst responsible for analyzing and managing optimum routing options for finished vehicles logistics is a key function supporting the logistics team at Rivian, responsible for delivering finished vehicles to customers across the global market. The Senior Business Analyst will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data models, dashboards, and visualizations to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
\nThe ideal candidate possesses network and demand planning experience in a global or regional role, can communicate complex issues and ideas to a variety of audiences, analyze crucial finance data, prepare reporting, business insight and confidently present to leadership across the organization. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented with an analytical mindset and hands on experience across all modes of transportation. Having a positive attitude will benefit this position greatly as the role requires flexing into other roles as needed. The ideal candidate must be willing to roll-up sleeves and dive into the weeds.
Responsibilities

- Design and maintain Outbound vehicle logistics distribution network for vehicle distribution throughout Europe. \n
- Identify network design efficiencies using advanced statistical techniques, conduct cost analysis for changes in distribution and propose changes to leadership. \n
- Conceptualize, build, manage and maintain centralized database of data mining queries and tools that the business and Analytics teams can use to extract data / insights for daily business management in an automated manner. \n
- Leverage data to identify exception or waste trends and work across teams to develop and measure corrective actions. \n
- Assist AdHoc asks to analyze the data ranging between the operations, freight payments, damage, claims, EDI transmission trends etc. \n
- Collaborate with teams and assist in developing and maintaining analytical dashboards to track the finance KPIs and efficiency of operations. \n
- Effectively communicate complex findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences \n
- Act as back up and support for other roles within the Outbound Logistics team. \n
- Provide a customer-oriented approach to support the internal customers. \n
Qualifications
- \n
- In-depth understanding of logistics’ relationships with other parts of the automotive ecosystem in EU \n
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, or related field, masters preferred. \n
- 3 years of experience in logistics, analytics industry or related or 1 year experience required for master’s degree. \n
- Strong analytical skill set – must have experience in the following:
Data mining and modelling
Root cause analysis
Process mapping \n - Proven track record of capturing and analyzing large amounts of data at a macro and micro level. \n
- Experience with statistical analysis and capable of handling projects using SQL, Python, Alteryx, Tableau or other business intelligence suites and visualization tools with minimum supervision. \n
- Travel Requirements of Position: 10% \n
- Experience with finished vehicle delivery preferred. \n
