Role Summary
We are seeking a Director, People Business Partner to provide strategic HR partnership to our rapidly growing Field Sales, Delivery and Marketing organizations. The key Business Partner will closely collaborate with business leadership teams to optimize the implementation of full life-cycle HR and leadership programs in support of organizational effectiveness and global expansion.

Responsibilities

- Develop a deep understanding of the client's strategy, goals, and vision. \n
- Engage in workforce planning, organizational design, and structural agility to align closely with key strategic objectives. \n
- Conduct talent assessment and action planning to accelerate employee development and enhance team effectiveness \n
- Handle employee relations, offering consultation, coaching, performance management, investigations, and conflict resolution \n
- Provide leadership coaching and feedback. \n
- Drive leadership development through assessments, development plans, and succession planning. \n
- Analyze and report on survey results at the functional level. \n
- Ensure alignment of annual compensation and promotions with the business. \n
- Conduct exit interviews for voluntary offboarding. \n
- Initiate performance management, including improvement and development plans. \n
- Oversee executive onboarding and integration. \n
- Develop and execute functional talent strategies, including attrition, retention, and M&A analysis. \n
- Provide leadership and strategic guidance for international expansion initiatives. \n
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess workforce needs in target markets and identify key talent requirements to support international growth. \n

- Partner with business leaders to determine the right organizational structure, skills, and capabilities to meet strategic goals. \n
- Develop organization-specific people plans and roadmaps to ensure the right individuals are in the right roles at the right locations and times. \n
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team to execute primary HR processes effectively. \n
- Work with Leaders to establish a culture that enables employees to excel. \n
- Partner with Centers of Excellence to ensure talent alignment with function needs, effective onboarding, development, and rewards. \n
- Advise, mentor, and guide leaders. \n
- Collaborate with the People Team to resolve complex inquiries. \n
Qualifications

- \n12+ years of Business Partner and/or HR Leadership experience with 3+ years of continuous support of executive leadership. \n \n
- \nBS Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Communication, or related field \n \n
- \nMasters degree in Human Resources preferred \n \n

- \nKnowledge of international labor laws, HR practices, and cultural considerations across different markets. \n \n
- \n5-8 years of field operations experience, with a preference for field sales environments. \n \n
- \nDeep expertise in complex employee/labor relations environments. \n \n
Pay Disclosure
Salary range for Irvine, CA $211,000-$250,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law)

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
