Role Summary
Join a highly capable team to develop industry leading charging systems for Rivian electric vehicles. The Electrical Engineer will work on designing electric vehicle charging systems and components.
Responsibilities

- Help specific, design, document and verify the system level electrical architectures for DC fast charging products \n
- Design and review of sub-system electrical functions within the charging system and components \n
- Work with standards team to ensure all relevant grid interface and design standards are being followed \n
- Work closely with product management to ensure the customer will get the best experience possible \n
- Drive design and testing requirements and help characterize EV charging system in laboratory \n
- Review designs and perform testing of equipment and components from Tier 1 suppliers \n
- Review and collaborate with internal teams on design of LV circuitry and PCBA's \n
- Work with manufacturing and supply chain team to set up production of products \n
- Help debug real world issues that arise during deployment and operation of charging systems \n
Qualifications
- \n
- Minimum BS Degree in Electrical Engineering \n
- 3-5+ years electrical design experience \n
- Experience designing multiple electrical components or systems \n
- Experience with design and product development process \n
- Ability to demonstrate root-cause analyses and resolutions \n
- Success in working in a cross-functional team environment \n
- Great team player and communicator \n
- Familiar with requirements management and systems engineering \n
- Comfortable working in lab with high power and high voltage circuitry \n
- Experience in data analysis and tools (i.e. Databricks, Python) \n
- Detail and process-orientated \n
- Experience with EV charging systems and associated standards is a plus \n
- Worked on UL and/or IEC certification of products is a plus \n
- Knowledge of power electronics circuits and concepts is a plus \n
- Experience working with custom power electronics designs and systems is a plus \n
Pay Disclosure
Salary range for California Based Applicants: $121,000-$139,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
