Role Summary
Rivian is looking for a Senior Finance Data Analyst to join the Finance team to expand its data analytics and financial reporting capabilities. This role will partner with Finance & Accounting and the Enterprise Data & Analytics teams to bring visibility and reporting to help our Finance organization stay informed and make better decisions. You will leverage your interest in finance, technical skills, and passion for data automation to enhance storytelling about our company’s performance and cost efficiencies for Finance leadership.
Responsibilities

Data Reporting and Analytics
Develop and automate recurring reports and live dashboards for key metrics across the Finance organization in Hex and/or Tableau
Consult and develop ad-hoc reporting needs from Finance team members

Data Automation and Engineering
Collaborate with the Enterprise Data & Analytics team to improve ETL process by converting manual transformation into queries or scripts and by leveraging scheduled refreshes in data tools such as dbt and Databricks using SQL and/or Python.
Identify opportunities to automate and increase operational efficiency, and propose solution options, and implement solutions
Scale dataflow and blend various sources from databases, forecast systems, Excel files, etc. to centralized data lake (i.e. Databricks)

Data Governance and Maintenance
Partner with Finance, Accounting, People Analytics, and Enterprise Data & Analytics, teams to establish single source of truth for financial forecasts and actuals datasets
Establish data requirements and own change process of dimension tables such as cost center, GL account, and project code lists
Qualifications
Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to connect data from multiple sources and build financial models from the ground up with imperfect data
Experience with managing processes to ensure data quality, including conducting data validation checks and maintaining data integrity across systems
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating effective time management, prioritization, and planning skills to meet deadlines and project goals
Ability to translate between technical data engineering requirements and business context, and communicate business implications from data in a clear and concise manner, written and verbally
3+ years of hands on experience with Business Intelligence/ Data Analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, SQL, Hex etc.) within cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Databricks, dbt, Fivetran)
3+ years of experience with SAP ERP and Oracle EPM systems is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or relevant field
4+ years of related experience in Finance, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Consulting
