Role Summary
As an Accounting and Finance Junior in Rivian’s Serbia Shared Service and International Team, you will be a key member of our finance department, responsible for accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting, analysis, and approvals. You will work closely with various teams to provide insights that drive strategic decision-making and help ensure financial efficiency and profitability.
Responsibilities
Accounting and Finance:
- Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy of recordings.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or variances promptly, collaborating with cross-functional teams when necessary.
- Prepare and post journal entries, adjustments, and other related accounting entries.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls over transactions, minimizing the risk of errors and fraud.
- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Assist with internal management reporting and statutory reporting requests.
- Work on special projects, as needed.
Accruals & Purchase Order (PO) & Invoice Approvals:
- Review and approve purchase orders (POs) and Invoices to ensure compliance with budget, tax requirements and financial guidelines
- Assist purchasers with proper PO and Invoice etiquette to ensure a smooth purchasing process
- Execute and improve on many aspects of the accruals process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Accounting and Finance function.
- Utilize financial systems and tools to streamline reporting and analysis processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skill.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
- A good attitude with a focus on keeping life adventurous.
