Role Summary
The Rivian Supply Chain team is looking for highly motivated and exceptional Purchasing and Accounting professional to develop a best-in-class procurement organization in support of keeping the world adventurous forever. In this role, the Procurement Operations Lead will be responsible for leading indirect procurement operations, which includes Requisition Creation, Purchase Order Management, Spot Buy Execution, Financial Audits, Supplier Enablement, Third Party Risk Management, Purchasing Helpdesk Administration and Policy Compliance. The individual in this role will be tasked to support a high performing team across these elements of Procurement Operations. You will take the lead in making sure Rivian is able to scale our procurement operations globally and are driving the most efficient, value-add processes. This role reports to the Director of the Indirect Purchasing team within the Supply Chain Organization.
Responsibilities
- Establish an integrated end to end procurement operations systems.
- Conduct and supervise routine financial audits to ensure procurement policy adherence.
- Mature and develop Procurement Operations at Rivian in our pursuit to set the bar for what is considered a best-in-class procurement organization.
- Lead and manage the business processes and improvement of the business process to ensure it meets the Global Operation’s strategic objectives and goals.
- Collaborate with other integrated functions such as Global Business Services to validate appropriate framework is in place for proper accounting and seamless downstream processes such as accounts payable.
- Integrate automation and artificial intelligence within procurement and accounting software where appropriate to enhance processes and improve efficiencies.
- Incorporate career development through organizational design for team growth.
- Prepare financial reports to evaluate spend patterns and compliance.
- Work with Spend Analytics team to evaluate efficiency opportunities and evaluate current operations.
- Develop catalog management processes to leverage the use of light touch procurement, while directing spend through preferred channels and to preferred suppliers.
- Leverage market intelligence and performance management to appropriately prioritize growth focus items.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering (MBA preferred)
- 7+ years of related purchasing, procurement, accounting, or sourcing experience
- 5+ years of indirect procurement and accounting experience
- 3+ years’ experience leading a procurement function/team
- Proficient and have direct experience with ERP system (Coupa and SAP preferred)
- Proficient in MS Office
- In-depth knowledge of accounting and indirect purchasing procedures, including best practices in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently and be accountable for specific goals and objectives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical ability to break down complex problems and data sets to derive meaningful, actionable results.
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $137,800 - $187,100 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
