Role Summary
The Program Warranty / Cost of Quality Staff Program Manager will lead critical initiatives related to Program Warranty performance and Total Cost of Quality improvement goals. As the single point of contact, this individual is responsible to ensure organizational alignment with Program Warranty performance across several cross-functional teams to deliver critical warranty KPIs. This individual will also align several stakeholders and Quality Cost Element owners to achieve overall Total Cost of Quality goals through rigorous process organization, execution, and communication.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all Program Management aspects of Program (vehicle and accessories) Warranty and Total Cost of Quality performance
- Program Warranty:
- Serve as a key communication link between the Vehicle Program and cross-functional teams including Accounting, Service, and Field Reliability to deliver all Warranty related KPIs
- Work hand in hand with Quality, Field Reliability and Service Operations to utilize field data to continually improve our products and reduce our warranty costs
- Report monthly KPI details to leadership, including prioritized challenges and watch items
- Support continuous improvement by contributing ideas in an open and always learning environment
- Work closely with the Warranty Business Manager on audit prioritization, warranty policy development, and policy updates including program specific warranty guides, extended warranties, and certified pre-owned warranties
- Support line of sight to vehicle performance after sales by proactively requesting and managing part requests for product and process teams
- Monitor and improve warranty process KPI’s and drive organizational awareness and delivery
- Train, coach and develop, and inform our employees on how we can exceed expectations for overall warranty processes
- Total Cost of Quality:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the delivery of Total Cost of Quality improvement initiatives across Design, Manufacturing, and Field Quality
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the Total Cost of Quality program including Cost Element owner improvement plans, prioritized communications to leadership on significant improvements and degradation, and cleanly escalate critical challenges
- Improve Total Cost of Quality analytics through translation of Cost Element owner data requirements to the Data Science team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Finance or Business or equivalent Degree, Masters Preferred
- 8-10 years’ experience with demonstrated leadership in Quality and/or Warranty Management with strong Finance background
- 4 plus years’ experience with program management and Cost of Quality programs
- Knowledge of AIAG, APQP, VDA and related tools preferred
- Computer and data entry skills – Google Workspace tools (Sheets, Slides, Docs, etc.), Jira, Confluence
- Ability to manage multiple projects across varying geographic locations simultaneously
- Willingness to work in a strong cross-functional environment
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing / production environment
- Travel 20%
