Role Summary
Rivian’s Commercial Technology - Sales team in Belgrade builds web applications and services that power core commerce experiences (vehicle configuration, orders, subscriptions, and internal tools) used by customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities
Create and extend web applications and backend services used by sales and operations teams.
Collaborate with UX/UI and product designers to build user‑friendly, reactive internal tools and flows.
Develop high‑quality, performant code with attention to profiling, memory usage, and load times.
Consistently write useful automated tests (unit/integration) for all code you develop.
Participate in code reviews, stand‑ups, and sprint ceremonies as a member of the Belgrade engineering team.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at an accredited university.
Graduation date between 2026-2027.
Actively pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
Work authorization in Serbia.
Other required skills:
Solid understanding of object‑oriented programming (OOP) in at least one language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or TypeScript).
Experience with frontend development using TypeScript/JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React or similar).
Familiarity with HTML5 and RESTful APIs from coursework or projects.
Nice to have (not required):
You’ve tried writing a small backend or API in Python or TypeScript as part of a class, tutorial, or side project.
You’ve used a database (SQL or NoSQL) and written basic queries (e.g., insert, select, update).
You’ve used Git to manage your code (locally or with GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket).
You’ve seen or experimented a bit with a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) or containers (Docker) through university labs, online courses, or personal projects.
You’re curious about how software supports e‑commerce, subscriptions, and internal tools in real products.
